Purpose Communications wins Gold and Silver at the Cyprus Responsible Business Awards

Purpose Communications has been honoured with two distinctions at the Cyprus Responsible Business Awards 2024, organised by BOUSSIAS Cyprus, receiving a Gold Award for the TELETHON 30 Years anniversary campaign and a Silver Award for its CSR initiative, Purpose Academy.

The annual awards celebrate organisations that integrate social responsibility, sustainability, and ethical practices into their business strategy. This recognition highlights Purpose Communications’ dedication to responsible communication and its belief that authenticity, empathy, and purpose can drive measurable impact and lasting social value.

The Gold Award acknowledges the agency’s work on the TELETHON 30 Years campaign, a landmark initiative that celebrated three decades of hope, science, and compassion. Through thoughtful storytelling, media engagement, and creative activations, the campaign reconnected the public with TELETHON’s mission and reaffirmed its place as one of Cyprus’s most trusted charitable movements.

The Silver Award celebrates Purpose Academy, the agency’s own CSR program created to empower NGOs and charitable organisations across Cyprus. An innovative, hands-on initiative, Purpose Academy offers free workshops led by the Purpose team and fellow communication professionals, covering areas such as Public Relations, Digital Communication, Storytelling, Media Relations, Advocacy, Fundraising, and Event Management.

Reflecting on the awards, Dimitris Ioannides, Founder & CEO of Purpose Communications, said: “These awards are more than recognition. They represent what Purpose stands for. From the TELETHON team that entrusted us with such a meaningful milestone to the inspiring NGO representatives of Purpose Academy, each collaboration reminds us why we do what we do. Responsible business isn’t an initiative; it’s our foundation. And we’ll keep building on it, always with purpose.”

The ceremony took place at Lemon Park, bringing together leading business figures and institutional representatives. In his address, the Minister of Health, Mr Michalis Damianos, highlighted the importance of responsibility and contribution to society, noting that “excellence holds true meaning only when paired with respect and care for people.”

For Purpose Communications, this double recognition reaffirms a journey built on passion, trust, and a commitment to creating communication that makes a difference, a journey dedicated to always doing business with Purpose.
