The CBF Awards 2025 took place on 3 December 2025 at Royal Hall in Nicosia, celebrating excellence, dedication and achievement within the Cypriot basketball community.
The 2025 edition carried particular significance. Following Cyprus’ participation in EuroBasket, the Federation operated in an environment of heightened visibility and elevated expectations. The awards ceremony, therefore, needed to reflect both domestic achievement and the broader institutional progress of basketball in Cyprus.
The event welcomed representatives of the State, Members of Parliament, local authorities, Ambassadors, sponsors, federation officials, media representatives and members of the wider basketball community. Beyond recognising sporting success, the ceremony reinforced the values of teamwork, discipline and long-term development that underpin the Federation’s strategic direction.
Purpose Communications was responsible for the full strategic planning and execution of the event, managing the process from concept development and narrative positioning to institutional protocol, branding, media relations and on-site coordination. Our role ensured a seamless experience aligned with the scale and credibility required for a milestone season.

Purpose Communications led the complete planning and delivery of the CBF Awards 2025, beginning with developing a clear event narrative centred on excellence, consistency, and the sustained growth of basketball in Cyprus.
A key strategic consideration was the broader EuroBasket context. The communication approach required a careful balance between highlighting Cyprus’s historic international presence and honouring achievements across domestic competitions. Purpose ensured that the messaging framework reflected both dimensions in a cohesive and disciplined manner.
We structured and coordinated the official guest list, managed institutional invitations and oversaw protocol requirements for VIP guests and State representatives, aligning the event’s tone with its increased scale and visibility.
Our team directed the full organisational setup of the ceremony, including venue coordination, stage design, visual identity alignment, technical production oversight and supplier management. Each component was executed with consistency to support the Federation’s professional image.
In parallel, Purpose managed pre- and post-event media relations, prepared all communication materials and secured targeted visibility across television, digital and sports media platforms. The objective was structured exposure that extended beyond the evening itself.
